Connecting your cards to any app should come with a clear answer to one question: what can it do with them? For Cash Pass, the answer is short. It can read. It cannot act.
Cash Pass is software. It issues no card, holds no balance, and moves no money, so your purchase protection, warranty coverage, rental car coverage, and chargeback rights all stay exactly where they are: with your card issuer.
Read only means the connection can look at your history. It cannot touch your money.
Using tokens instead of passwords matters for more than security. If you change your card password, nothing breaks. If you want to cut off access, the token is revoked without touching anything else about your account.
You can disconnect a card at any time from the Cards tab. Once it is disconnected, Cash Pass stops reading new transactions from it. If you also want its history removed, email support@yourcashpass.com and ask us to delete that card's data.
Everything else about how your information is used, shared, and kept is covered in our Privacy Policy, which is written to be read, not skimmed.
Can Cash Pass see my other bank accounts?
Only the cards you choose to connect. Nothing else is shared with Cash Pass.
What happens if I change my card password?
Nothing breaks. The connection uses a token, not your password, so it keeps working until you disconnect it.
Will connecting a card affect my credit?
No. A read-only connection is not a credit application and does not trigger a credit check.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Disconnect the card, then email support@yourcashpass.com and ask us to delete its data.
Read only is a promise with a clear boundary. Cash Pass can see where you spent and which card you used, and it uses that to name the right card next time. It cannot spend, move, or change anything, and you can take a card back out whenever you like.
